Le Folgoët
LE FOLGOËT
Le Folgoët est une commune du département du Finistère, dans la région Bretagne, en France. Le nom vient du surnom donné à Salaün ar Foll, « le fou du bois », qui habitait le bois où se trouve actuellement la commune. Salaün est à l'origine d'une tradition qui a engagé la construction de la basilique. Peu après sa mort, en 1358, à l'âge de 48 ans, on découvrit un lys, prenant racine dans sa bouche, et sur lequel était écrit en lettres d'or Ave Maria.
