Jouy-aux-Arches est une commune française située dans le département de la Moselle, en Lorraine. Ses habitants sont appelés les Gaudassiens, suivant l'ancienne forme gallo-romaine du toponyme Gaudiacum. La commune est aussi appelée Gaudach en allemand en raison de ses deux annexions à l'Allemagne (1871-1918) et (1940-1944).
